It's been awhile!

Well, so much for trying to post more. I have been super busy trying to plan the wedding which is going to be here before we know it. I can't believe in LESS than 4 months we will be in Cabo tying the knot! I can't wait for it to be here. Planning a wedding from so far away is stressful. I didn't think it would be though. We hired a wedding coordinator to make things easier, but that didn't happen. I think no matter what though, planning a wedding is insane. I don't think there is any way around it. I need to relax though and realize that everything will get done and our special day will be perfect. Alex said that things will go wrong and we just need to live with it because no one will even notice. I agree, but until that moment when we are in Cabo and everything is done...I will stress.

Our trip to California for Christmas was fun, but so busy! It is nice to have so many friends and family that want to see us. We didn't stop the entire time we were there and we didn't even get to see everyone! We tried very hard though.


We are working on the house little by little still. Alex decided that he doesn't want to do his theatre room anymore and has sold his projector. He ordered new surround sound speakers for the front room and plans on getting those in this weekend. It is going to sound amazing! We ordered two black book shelves for either side of the tv, so now it fills up that HUGE wall and looks so much better. We ordered a new couch this week too! I am SOOOOOO excited. It is a sectional and is much bigger than the one we have now, so it will make watching a movie and relaxing in the front room so much more comfortable. Little by little we are getting there. I will have to post a picture when it is all done.

Next week is Alex's 31st birthday! I can't believe a year ago we were going crazy trying to plan his suprise birthday party in California!! Thankfully, with the help of Brandon, Rick, his dad, mom and other amazing friends, we pulled it off. This year I have something small planned, but will post about that later in case he sees this.

My bachelorette party is coming up! The girls have it all planned and I pretty much know nothing! I do know that we will be staying at Pechanga which is awesome. I THINK we may be going to a winery or several, which is really what I wanted to do. As long as I have some wine though, I will be fine. I will be surrounded by all my closest friends so I know whatever is planned and whatever we end up doing will be amazing.

I better get back to work now!

I love Christmas time!

I am trying to get in the habit of posting here. I think it is a great way to keep in touch with people. We are so excited to be going home to Cali this month! We leave in 17 days!! We will be in Cali for a total of 8 days which will be really nice. We won't get a chance to see everyone. There just isn't enough time! We WILL be back next year though.

Thanksgiving was amazing. Alex and I stayed home and cooked for ourselves. We usually go to Kentucky to visit his mom, but it didn't work out that way this year. We were sad and missed them terribly, but we ended up having a really nice time. The whole day was amazing. I cleaned a little, watched a movie, took a bath, baked pies, and relaxed all while Alex played his video game. HA! We started cooking around 5. Alex fried a turkey (which was amazing)! We sat at our new table and enjoyed each other over dinner. It was truly amazing. I will have to post the picture I took of the table set up with the food. I know, I am a dork.

The day before (Wednesday), we decided to decorate for Christmas since we were going to Austin for the weekend. We decorated the tree and had our Christmas lights put up. Yes, we paid someone to do them. We won't do it again. It was nice not to have to worry about it all though! Here is how it turned out:

We really like the way it turned out. We also love the way our tree turned out!!

We still need to get a big bow for the top of the tree which we will do one of these days! I just keep forgetting every time I get to the store.

Friday morning we took a long drive to Austin. It took us about 6 hours I guess. It was actually a really nice drive. The first part wasn't all that great (it was flat and boring), but the last leg of the trip turned out to be amazing! Tons of trees, hills, and even some water! All the trees were turning colors, so it was really pretty. We got out and took a couple pictures in Llano which was this really amazing small town. I need to download the pictures from my camera and will post them here soon.

Once we got to Austin, we checked into our hotel which was beautiful!! Here is a picture of the lobby (we stayed at the Hilton Downtown):

The room was amazing too. We didn't hang out in the room much and headed over to 6th street which is similar to Downtown San Diego. Well, it reminded us of it a lot, but it was a little scummy. TONS of bar, bums and it kinda smelled like piss. haha!! It was neat looking though. I wish I would have taken more pictures from our trip. We walked up and down 6th trying to find a good place to eat and ended up at a really good tex-mex restaurant. After we had dinner we found this really cool place called the Alamo Draft House. It is a theatre and they serve alcohol!! I always thought they should have these and we found one! We watched JCVD. LOL. It is the latest Jean Claude movie that was mostly in French. It was weird, but pretty good. Alex loved it. The onllly problem with serving alcohol while watching a movie is the whole restroom thing. I had to get up a few times. I ended up missing a lot of the movie because the lines for the women's restroom was pretty long. Oh well.

After the movie Alex noticed that one of his friends Mc Lars was playing in town. So, we walked a few blocks away to some bar and watched him play. We ended up having a lot of fun and met a few people there who later took us to another bar. The night ended very late and many many beers later, but it was a blast.

Saturday we were just a little hunover, haha, and had to take his car to the Acura Dealership (we don't have one in Midland). We ended up walking to Sam's Club which was about a half mile away while we waited for the car and had a blast!!!! We were acting like little kids, laughing, and messing with each other.

After the car was done we headed to San Marcos for a day full of shopping at their outlet mall. It was insane. TONS and TONS of people!!!!!!!!!! It was okay though. We didn't go in a lot of the stores. I did wait in line to get into Victoria's Secret, ha! It was well worth the wait though because they were having some amazing sales.

That night we relaxed in the room and watched a movie. Well, Alex did -- I fell asleep, like always. The trip was all together amazing. The only bad part was the ticket Alex got on the way back for going 80 in a 70. Damn Sheriff.

Tomorrow is our office client Christmas party which should be fun. Free alcohol and food! Hell ya!
