Better news!
The doctor told me to go ahead and count Saturday as CD 1! I am VERY excited about this because it means I get to start Clomid on Wednesday! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why do things have to be so difficult?
I swear, I think my doctor's office much think I am insane. I call them about once a week because it's ALWAYS something with me! I was pretty excited because I thought I wouldn't have to bother them for awhile and was hoping that the next time I called them would to be about a positive test, but noooooooooo. I started the Provera and was on day 4 of the 5 day cycle when what seemed to be AF showed up. Of course it can't be normal though. It's really odd. I didn't know if I was supposed to keep taking the pills. I called the pharmacy and they weren't sure, so I went ahead and took the rest of the pills. I am still having what I think is my period, but it's not normal at all. I won't get into specifics, but it's like the first day or last day (old blood), I know, ew. Usually, I wouldn't care. I would just let it happen, BUT I need to know if this is my period because I'm supposed to start the Clomid on day 5 of my cycle!! WTF?!?!??!?! So, I called my lovely doctor's office (they all know me by now) and explained to them what is going on and now have to wait for them to talk to the doctor. Why can't things be simple??

Two more teaser pics from our honeymoon!
This is in Sorrento, Italy after an amazing lunch!
This is in Monte Carlo at a little restaurant off of the marina. It was our goal to have a beer in every port we went to and we were pretty successful! We missed Athens because everything was closed while we were there. Turkish beer is the BEST!

That's it for now - I plan on getting started this weekend on my long posts with pictures!
Provera making me emotional??
I don't know what it is. Maybe it's the lack of a period for 42 days or maybe it's the Provera, but I feel like I could cry at the drop of a hat. When I think about being pregnant, I want to cry. I want to be a MOM soooooo bad!! Please, please, please, please let this Clomid work on me! On the way to work I was listening to some song (country - haha) about his daughter growing up (I have NO clue what the hell the name of it is), but I started crying! HA! I'm such a sap. I feel really good otherwise. I feel like I am in a better mood and not as moody as I have been lately. That is a nice change. I almost felt like I have had pms for the last two weeks. Poor hubby.
3 more days of Provera....

Here we go...
I started my first day of Provera today, so hopefully I will start my period in about two weeks and then 5 days after that I can start the Clomid. So if it all works out - I should be on the Clomid by the 9th of October?!?! I really hope that is the case. I am ready to get this show on the road. I don't want to get my hopes up, but from the research I have done I have a good chance of getting pregnant in the first month. The likely hood of this happening of course is slim, but I am going to remain hopefully and positive! I will get pregnant and it will be soon!
I hear the side effects of the Clomid are going to be fun - hot flashes, bitchiness, cramping, etc., but I can deal. I gave fair warning to my wonderful husband last night. I hope I don't become a raging bitch!
Here's a picture from our honeymoon (1 of over 2,000 - haha!). This is in Florence on the Arno River.

PCOS and Clomid...
It's been so long since I have posted on here. I still have to write about my honeymoon and post pictures!
Yesterday I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (pcos). I can't say that I am not surprised because I pretty much self diagnosed myself with this. No one believed me though. Alex and everyone else thought I was crazy. I didn't WANT it to be that, but I just had this feeling. I have been having really weird cycles (I am currently on day 39 of this cycle), and it just seems to be getting worse. After talking with the doctor yesterday and pretty much hearing that I am infertile I actually feel a little better because I have answers. Hearing that you pretty much cannot conceive without help was one of my fears, actually, I think it is every woman's fear. I didn't break down like I thought I would though. What's the point??
So, after a very good talk with my doctor we (Alex included) decided to start Clomid to help us get pregnant. It was a pretty easy decision although I was pretty hesitant at first. I didn't know much about it and automatically thought it would make me have multiples (3, 4, 5 babies) and I DID NOT want to run the risk of that. After talking with my doctor though I am apparently not the only one that thought this. Of course I didn't do much research about it because of this reason. My chance for twins doubles, but we would be okay with that. As long as we can have a healthy baby, two healthy babies would be just that much more of a blessing!!
Another upside to all of this is I do not have all the symptoms of pcos (thankfully). My ovaries are only slightly enlarged (one is 4 cm and the other is 4.5 cm - normal is 3.75 cm) and I do not have any cysts, which is very common with pcos. I do have the oily skin, acne (on and off) and it's a little bit difficult to lose weight, but I will take that over the latter (mustache, obese, hair falling out, etc.).
So - I am coming to terms with the fact that I am not ovulating and will need help getting pregnant. I just hope the clomid works on me. He seems to believe I will be pregnant in the next 3 months which would be amazing! The thought of that makes me very excited and giddy!
OH!!! I quit my job! I was basically headhunted by my previous employer at the Chamber of Commerce working as the Visitor Services Manager for the Convention and Visitors Bureau (that's a mouth full)! I put my two weeks notice in on the 11th of this month and will go back to work with the CVB on the 5th of October. I am VERYYYYYYY excited about this. I loved that job so much, but the pay wasn't there before. I will miss the people here at the law firm more than anything, and will still remain in contact with them - but I'm ready to go back to doing what I love!!
More to come later - I really want to write about our honeymoon which will be a series of 12 posts because I want to give each day and each stop it's own post. I thankfully kept a journal while on the cruise of what we did each day because there was SO much!!

Honest Scrap Award!
I was given the Honest Scrap Award by Megan, a follow blogger and my friend from high school! This award is given to blogs that write honestly and from the depth of their soul, according to her blog. There are a couple of rules to accepting the award. First, pass the award on to 7 other bloggers, and second, list 10 honest and hopefully interesting things about yourself.
The following are blogs that I read on a daily basis and can relate to on some level. I love blogging! I have only been at it for a little while, but I am officially hooked. Without further ado, my nominations!
1. Laurie Beth - Life Exposed
2. My Life as a Wife
3. Pink Sass
4. Weight Watchers Changed My Life
5. Quite Contrary
6. Love this Life
7. ...Into the Womb
And for the 10 honest thing about myself:
1. I am horrible at math. I mean BAD! It's embarrassing at times (like when figuring tips - I count on my fingers - haha).
2. I am OCD about certain things. For example, things in my fridge have to be organized and the labels have to be facing the right way. Same goes for the pantry.
3. I hate hate hate putting boxes together. I know, weird, right? I can't stand the sound of the cardboard rubbing together.
4. I, like Megan, put my makeup on in the morning using my compact mirror while sitting on the couch. I have never been one to put it on in the bathroom.
5. I, also like Megan, dislike talking on the phone. I am a texter and an emailer, but don't like talking on the phone at all. I do it, because I have to (living in Texas makes it tough keeping in touch with my friends).
6. I hate my thighs. Hate. I have tried everything. They are stuck with me for life and I guess I just have to deal with them.
7. I am so worried that I will not be able to have babies. It plagues me.
8. I am constantly diagnosing myself with various illnesses - thanks to Google. I will search the crap out of something and then start thinking I have it. It's horrible and I need to stop!
9. I am addicted to taking pregnancy tests. Even though I know it is going to be negative and I know it's too soon to tell even if I were pregnant.
10. I am a horrible procrastinator.
That's it! I will post soon about our honeymoon! It was amazing!!! I have so much to blog about!
