Random Pictures!!

Ok -- I am bored. I should be working on a few things, but decided I wanted to post random pictures!

This is on the move from California to Texas. The cats HATED the cage we got them, which was in Alex's car, so we moved them into mine and they LOVED it!!

This is little Molly. She is so freaking adorable and sweet. She will lick you to death.

This is fiesty fat Ash. He likes to eat! He is pretty crazy, but the biggest lover!

This is at our client Christmas party at the Petroleum Club with Kathleen and Jamie.

Sipping a yummy margarita in San Diego for Kelli's birthday!

With two of the neighborhood kids at the Greathouse Halloween Block Party.

This picture is pretty funny. We went on a last minute girls trip together to Ruidoso, NM. On the way there Erica thought it would be funny to stop at this little whole in the wall bar. It was something out of a scary movie! We ended up having a blast though!

This is me with the Chicken Lady. I did the Aids Lifecycle ride in 2007. I rode 565 miles on my bicycle from San Francisco to Los Angeles. The Chicken Lady is a huge part of the ride. On the last day of the ride he puts plastic eggs on all of the thousands of riders bikes. It is amazing.

Memories!! This was before we rode out of San Francisco with Rick, Brandon and Augie. I was SO nervous and had NO idea what was in store for the next seven days.

On day six of the ride we were in Ventura. It was amazing out.

This is from one of our training rides in Santa Clarita. We were riding through the orange groves. It was beautiful! I love Brandon and Vanessa!

Part of Team OC on the training ride.

Awww! My honey! This is in Catalina. I suprised him with a trip there for his 29th birthday. It was an amazing trip!
AWESOME! We got to meet Nickelback! They are such nice and amazing guys!

Random pictures from my amazing bachelorette party that my sister and Kelli through for me.

I love my best friend more than words!

Ok, I love this picture! He is the most amazing man in the world with the best sense of humor.
I wish I was here right now. This is in Rosarito with Amber. Pure Heaven!

And that's it for now!

I should be on a plane...

We should be on our way to Cabo right now. Actually, we would be on our layover in Houston waiting to get on the plane for Cabo. Bullcrap! I think once the date of the wedding is gone and over with I will feel better. Kinda like closure. It needs to go by fast! I have this feeling in the pit of my stomach every time I think about what I should be doing and the fact that we should be married on Saturday. It's okay though...at least I still get to marry him!

Speaking of getting to marry him...I can't wait!!!! I have been counting down to May 16th for the past year (seriously, I had like 3 apps on my iphone with calendars counting down the day that I would check about 600 times a day). I HOPE today we will book our cruise (YIPPIE) and then we can book the wedding which may be at the Bellagio. I know, I am a spoiled little brat. I was talking to my best friend Kelli last night and was telling her that I can't be that upset about not having my big Cabo wedding because who gets the chance to go to Vegas and have their wedding at one of the best hotels in the world and THEN go on a 12 day cruise? I have no room to bitch, at all. I am one lucky little brat. I realized that I was bitching so much about how the wedding was not happening in Cabo that I couldn't see the way things were turning out, which to be honest, is better!

Tonight a few girls from work are going to the Hilton for some kind of women's thingy. I am not too sure what it's all about, but apparently they will have an open bar and it costs $5 to get in. Then there are vendors I believe? Like manicurists? I have no clue. haha. Then after that Alex and I are going to the Hemingway to meet up with Autumn and Mike. Should be a fun filled BUSY day!

I am putting on a good front...

I think I am putting on a really good front. On the outside I am seemingly okay with the cancellation of our wedding. I am pretending really well I think. On the inside though...I feel like screaming. I am so sad and upset that our wedding is off. I can't talk about it anymore. Not only that, but I am sure people don't want to hear about it either.

I can't believe I was supposed to be off work tomorrow packing for our wedding. We were supposed to leave on Wednesday. Ugh. I needed a vacation too! Alex is going to be gone on the 16th now. He will be out of town on what would have been our wedding day and I don't know why it is bothering me so much. I am so sad. I am going to be thinking the ENTIRE time about what I SHOULD be doing right at that moment. Thankfully, I have some great friends here that are going to hang out with me. Thank you Leslie and Liz. I think there will be a few more of us, but I need to do something. I plan on drinking...and a lot. HAHA!

To top of EVERYTHING else that is going on...I talked to my mom yesterday and they think she had a stroke. A mild one, but a stroke nontheless. I am so worried about her. Not only do they think she had a stroke, but her thyroid has shut down completely. They are putting her through tons of tests to make sure the cancer hasn't spread, but it kills me that I am not there. She sounds so tired on the phone and that isn't like her. She is always upbeat, even when she was going through the chemo. I am thankful for the way the wedding turned out for this reason though because she wouldn't have been able to attend the Cabo wedding. I couldn't have got married without her there with me. So, as they say, things happen for a reason and I think this is one of those things.

We are currently looking at getting married at the Bellagio. Nothing is set in stone yet, but we are looking at POSSIBLY doing it on my dads birthday, July 11th and then the cruise leaves on the 15th. Who knows though. I know things will change 100 times before we settle on something.

Fun times.

Show Us Where you Live Friday - LIVING ROOMS

Kelly over at Kelly's Korner (Kelly) is sponsoring "show us where you live Friday," which I think is awesome! Last week was show us your kitchen (which I didn't have a chance to get in on), but I had planned on it! I think it is so neat looking at other people's homes. I am one of those people that would go to open houses just to get decorating ideas. I love it!

I had some pictures on my computer that I had taken for my family in California so they could see our home. I did not take these specifically for this purpose and they were taken with my phone, so they aren't the best. I will take some more pictures tomorrow and upload them tomorrow morning.

Ok, since I didn't have a chance to get in on the kitchen post last week I thought I would include two pictures. I am in love with our black cabinets. I instantly fell in love with the house when I saw this:

The picture above is an old picture, but you get the idea.

Here is a picture looking at our living room from the dining room. I hate the color of our walls, but I DO NOT want to paint!

This is looking in on the living room from the kitchen:
This is looking at the entry way from the living room:

We have two cats (they are like our children). You can see their big bed and a basket with all of their toys:

One last picture looking at the living room from near the kitchen entrance:

I will post better pictures tomorrow! =)

Baby Names....

No, we are not pregnant! But, I think it's funny how much we talk about names that we like. We don't do it as much as we used to, but last night we were watching Otis and one of the characters in the movie was named Reed. Alex loved the name instantly and it seems to be growing on me. Reed Alexander Seif. I like the ring to that. Here are a few other names we really like:

Boys:
Jacob Alexander
Drake Alexander
Mason

Girls (we have way more of these):
Ashton Nicole
Ashlyn Nicole
Riley
Hayden
Hailey
Paige
Emma
Peyton

I know, we are so weird. It's fun talking about future baby names! I have ALWAYS loved the name Chole, but Alex doesn't like it at all. I always thought I would have a little girl with that name, but I guess we both have to agree. ha!

Our good friends Pete and Emily are around 30 weeks pregnant and are waiting to find out the gender. I think that is so neat. You don't get that many suprises in life and what a better surpise than that? I on the other hand couldn't do it. I know I won't be able to. I am too much of a planner. Not only that, but I have the worst time with suprises. I LOVE them, but it eats me alive if I know there is a suprise. It is all I can think about and there is no way I could sit for nine months wondering! I think it is so amazing that Emily is doing it. I am so proud of her! I can't wait to find out the gender so I can go shopping! There aren't many cute uni-sex outfits that I have been able to find.

Ok, can you tell I am bored?

Nickelback in Dallas (April 11, 2009)

We went to see Nickelback in Dallas last month. I am just now putting up the pictures! We had an AMAZING time! We were treated like royalty from the minute we got there. We got to park in the special VIP parking (right next to all of the tour buses). We were then whisked away and met up with Brad, Alex's co-worker who gave us all of our special back stage passes. We then were escorted into the arena where we were taken to our special box seats! WOW! We had some amazing seats right in the middle.

Alex and I ended up going back stage to meet up with Bryan and his kids where we got to meet the band and take pictures with them. Wow!!! It was a dream come true! The guys were all super nice. While we were hanging out in the VIP room it started to POUR!!! It was insane! Thankfully by the time we left it stopped. Alex ran out to grab Autumn and Mike so they could hang with us in the VIP room for a little while before Nickelback when on. We had a few beers and enjoyed hanging out with all the band members.

When it was time for Nickelback we headed into the arena and sat at our amazing seats where we had a waitress bring us beer (hahahahaha, I know). The show was AMAZING. Wow. I couldn't believe how amazing it was. I had seen them a few years back, but they were even better this time around.

After the show we headed back stage where everyone was hanging out. Chad was the only one from Nickelback that hung out with everyone. We met Eric from Saving Abel and Shaun. Alex got to meet Vinny Paul from Pantera. He was SO excited! We hung out till about 2am and then went back to the hotel. It was an AMAZING night!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well...

I feel a little better about things. All the flights were cancelled yesterday. It was a little difficult because I felt like I had JUST booked all of them. I couldn't look at our itinerary. A week from today we would have been on our way to Houston and then off to Cabo. Oh well. I am getting better, I just can't think about it.

We are working on our Plan B, and at this point we are strongly considering Vegas. I would love to have something on the beach in San Diego, but I think that would end up being too much work. I can't plan another wedding. I had put SO much into our Cabo wedding. I don't have it in me to plan everything ALL over again. Vegas seems easy. You pick a package and go. I don't want to worry about chair covers, flowers, centerpieces, seating charts, music lists, programs, guest books, no thank you. I want to show up and get married haha. I don't even care what my flowers look like. ha! I am sure I will change my mind once it becomes more of a reality because I am way too much of a planner to just not care. It will all work out.

We do know that we will be taking a cruise! I am SO excited! His dad is finding one for us since he knows which one is the best to take. We weren't going to do a honeymoon with the Cabo wedding since we were going to be gone for so long, but with Vegas...we are doing it. A Mediterranean Cruise sounds amazing. I can't wait. It's nice to look forward to something again.

Cabo is off

I would like to scream. I am so stressed out I feel like I have a huge fat man sitting on my chest and he won't move. I feel like I am in some kind of nightmare and I can't wake up. This past week has been a whirl wind. I only had ONE really crazy cry (right after I got the email from my wedding coordinator that everything was canceled). The rest of this past week has been me freaking out. This wedding that I have planned for the last year was over in an email. This wedding, as most already know, has been very very difficult to plan. I was so excited that the planning was coming to an end I could enjoy all the nightmarish planning and be married to my love. Nope, someone else had different plans for me. It just isn't fair. My dream wedding is over. Everyone keeps telling me that "it's okay, at least you still get to get married," and "whatever ends up happening will be just as beautiful." Ugh. I know, I am so lucky I still get to marry the man of my dreams and whatever the heck we end up doing will be just fine...but it doesn't make any of this better. Maybe I am just being a huge brat. That isn't something new.

The hotel is being okay with canceling so far, but I haven't seen any cancellation numbers. My wedding coordinator has been great. The photographer won't give us back the HUGE deposit we gave him. The hair person is keeping the $200 deposit I gave her and the kicker: the airlines are being assholes. Mexicana airlines is the worst. They are charging us $100 each ticket to change (x 10 flights with them) AND we can't transfer the names. So, bacically we are screwed. We have to keep the tickets and have to spend another $1,000 just to make changes. Contintental is being ok. We can't get a refund, but they are waiving the fees to make changes. Oh well. Orbit and American Airlines are on my list of calls, but I have a feeling it will be the same crap.

We were talking about going to Vegas, but I can honestly say that right now...I am over it. I don't want a wedding anymore. I just want to be married, I want everything canceled and I don't want to worry about any of it anymore. I never thought I would say that. I just want to be married already. No more stress. I can't take it anymore. It's not worth it anymore. I know, one day I will probably regret not having a wedding, but maybe on our 5 year anniversary we can have a renewal or something. Sounds good to me.

I feel like crying.
