38 Weeks and Maternity Photo Shoot

How far along? 38 weeks 4 Days - holy wow. I can't believe I'm almost 39 weeks pregnant.
Total weight gain/loss: 42 pounds. It's right around there. I haven't been gaining anymore, so that's a good thing.
Maternity clothes? Of course.
Sleep: Still pretty much the same. Not too bad.
Best moment this week: The whole week off of work has been really nice. I'm enjoying my time. It's pure heaven!
Food cravings: Fresh fruit.
Gender: BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Belly Button in or out? It's still in and I don't think it's going to pop either.
What I miss: Hmm. This is tough. I'm really uncomfortable. Everything seems to hurt by the end of the day. It seems like he's in my left ribs in my back. My lower back hurts too most of the time. I've been taking lots and lots of baths to try and help with the pain which sometimes works. HOWEVER, I'm reallllly trying hard to enjoy these last few DAYS. He's going to be here before we know it and I'm going to miss feeling his elbow (or is that his heel?) push up against my stomach. It's amazing. I can tell he's such a big boy now. I'm in love.

On Friday, I had my maternity photo shoot. I wasn't going to do it and kept going back and forth about it, but I decided to go ahead and suck it up. I wanted to remember this special time and him in my belly - so I did it! Trish Burdett was my photographer. She was amazing and really made me feel beautiful. I was kinda nervous beforehand, but she made me feel comfortable. She came to my house at 8am and we headed out to North A Street to a little neighborhood called The Woodlands. It was beautiful! There is a little lake and tons of trees. I loved the look and feel of it. The pictures turned out amazingly! I feel like I look HUGE, but I guess that's normal for being 38 weeks pregnant! Here they are:

His mom has been here for a week and it's been nice to have the company. We've been looking at fabric for the curtains for the nursery and plan on getting it today. I can't wait to have it all done. I wish my mom was here too. She will be here soon though! She gets here on the 15th of July and will be here for about a week. At the rate we are going, she will be here for the birth! haha. I kinda have a sinking suspicion that we will be having this little one a few days late. I don't mind so much, he can stay in as long as he needs. Well, he will be getting an eviction notice a week after our due date! haha. Sorry little man...mommy wants to meet you!

37 Weeks! Full Term Baby!

How far along? 37 weeks 4 Days
Total weight gain/loss: 42 pounds. It's right around there. I haven't been gaining anymore, so that's a good thing.
Maternity clothes? Of course.
Sleep: It's okay. I get up a lot to use the restroom and to switch positions, but it isn't that horrible. I don't think sleep will ever be normal again, so I'm getting used to it.
Best moment this week: My last day of work before maternity leave!!!!!!!! WHOOHOOO!
Food cravings: Fresh fruit.
Gender: BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Belly Button in or out? It's still in and I don't think it's going to pop either.
What I miss: Nothing! I'm trying to enjoy these last few days of pregnancy because I know I will miss having him in my belly. Of course I'm a little uncomfortable (especailly my ribs), but it's nothing that I can't handle and nothing that isn't worth dealing with for my little boy!

Last week was my LAST week of work before Jacob comes. Today was my first day off and it was pure heaven. I got so much done! I went for a walk, cleaned the backyard (sprayed it off because it was NASTY), cleaned up around the house, did TONS of laundry, took a bath and shower, took a nap, made dinner and put away clothes. Wow. What a day! I love love love it!

Alex's mom comes in tonight. I scared her this weekend because I had two major contractions and she doesn't want to miss the birth, so she's coming a week earlier than expected. Can't wait to see her!

Time for dinner!

36 Weeks!

How far along? 36 Weeks 4 Days (wow, only 24 days to go!)
Total weight gain/loss: 42 pounds. Think it's still around there. Will find out when I go on Thursday.
Maternity clothes? Of course.
Sleep: This honestly changes day to day. The last few nights have been horrible. I can't get comfortable AT ALL. My hips hurt so bad that I can't stay on one side for too long. My ribs also hurt so bad it makes me miserable. Just sitting here at work I'm in a ton of pain. It's horrible, but there's nothing I can do. Little boy needs more room!
Best moment this week: Laying in bed after work (after a horrible day) - the husband and Jacob played for a good 15 minutes. Jacob kicked so hard at one point he pushed daddy! It was adorable and put tears in my eyes.
Food cravings: Nothing really. Just food in general.
Gender: BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Belly Button in or out? It's still in and I don't think it's going to pop either.
What I miss: No rib pain, but as I said, it's worth it and there is nothing I can do about it. I feel like he's so big. I sometimes wonder how I'm supposed to make it another 24 or so days. I can't wait to see his little face and to hold him in my arms!

Nothing really new lately. My mom will be here July 15-21. The MIL will be here on the 28th I believe and no clue when she will leave. His dad will get here when we go into labor. It's all so close! I can't wait to see everyone.

This weekend we went to our neighbors on Saturday night to hang out and then again on Sunday for dinner. They all think I'm going to have him this week. HAHA! I HIGHLY doubt it, but it's cute. I want him to stay in a least another week or so. I have a feeling I'm either going to be really close to my due date or a week late. I thought he would want to come early, but I don't really feel that way anymore. I go on Thursday to get checked for the first time. I wonder if I've dilated at all? I feel like I have just because I've been having some cramping, but who knows!

I will be packing our bags this week to make sure we are fully prepared - you never know!! It's SO close!

35/35

35 Weeks/35 Days! Did you see the ticker at the top?!?! Wow. We are on the last leg of the pregnancy and I couldn't be more excited! We get to meet our son soon!

How far along? 35 Weeks 4 Days
Total weight gain/loss: 42 pounds. Wow. It's a lot, but you know? I don't care! haha. I've been doing all I can to keep the weight where it should be and this is what my body wants to do! I'm not going to freak out about it anymore.
Maternity clothes? Of course.
Sleep: It's been pretty good for the most part. I wake up a few times to use the restroom, but I can usually fall right back asleep. My hips hurt a little, but not too bad. I really can't complain!
Best moment this week: Working more on the nursery and realizing that I'm going to have a baby next month. Wow.
Food cravings: Fresh fruit. I get this question a lot from complete strangers! I have no weird cravings and haven't this whole time. It's all usual things. I think people get disappointed when I tell them that. They want to hear wacky stories!
Gender: BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Belly Button in or out? It's still in and I don't think it's going to pop either.
What I miss: Honestly? Nothing really. I love having him in my belly. I miss wine every so often, but he's worth it.

We had a nice chill weekend. I found a maternity bathing suit on Friday at Target and woke up on Saturday morning and went straight to the pool. It was so nice. I got there around 9am and it was already so warm out (it got to about 110 that day). Joie and her daughter Mica (my neighbor) met me later on and it was just so relaxing! Later that day we went to pick up the recliner for the nursery and I LOVE it. I'm so glad I went with the recliner instead of the glider. So many people recommend that we do that, and I'm so excited to use it!

The nursery isn't done yet, but it's getting there. We got his name letters in the mail and went and bought the paint to paint them this week. I'm excited about it! We still need to find something to put over the dresser and hang the stuff on the walls and get curtains and then it will be done. We are getting there! I hate that it's not done because I'm in major nesting mode, but it WILL be done before he gets here!

Yesterday we had a cleaning lady come to the house. It was so weird. I've never had anyone clean my house for me and it really tripped me out. I ended up leaving an going to the pool with Joie again because it was freaking me out! I needed to hire her because I can't get the shower clean. It's just too much. I tried and ended up in a lot of pain by the end of the day that it's worth it for a little while. We won't have her forever, but at least until Jacob is about a month old. It was really nice coming home after the pool to a sparkling house. She's good! I will post a new picture this week.

34 Weeks and a few pictures

How far along? 34 Weeks 5 Days
Total weight gain/loss: It's a lot, BUT I haven't gained anything in the last two weeks!
Maternity clothes? Of course.
Sleep: It's totally random. I can usually sleep really well lately. I get up only about once to use the restroom, so that's kinda nice. Last night I woke up and couldn't fall back asleep though and then when I did, I had a horrible nightmare! I hate when that happens. I'm not in as much pain as I have been, so getting comfortable isn't that hard. I do wake up and switch sides a lot, but it doesn't really bother me.
Best moment this week: Working on the nursery. Getting his crib put up. Shopping and kind of finishing the registry!
Food cravings: Nothing really? It's weird. I always want fresh fruit, but that's about it. Food lately isn't all that great. I'm not as hungry as I have been and sometimes have to force myself to eat.
Gender: BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Belly Button in or out? It's funky looking.
What I miss: Hmm. Nothing really. I know I'm going to miss feeling in my tummy all the time. That was part of my dream last night. I won't try to explain it because it was wacky, but one of the things about it was I didn't feel him anymore and it made me so sad. I love having him in there! I know I will love having him here even more though. It's so close!

How hilarious is this picture? This is right when I realized there is a small hole in one of my favorite onsies! Such a sad moment.

The stroller and car seat!!

I'm so in love with our crib.

The armoire. I'm happy I talked the husband into this piece. It's such a large room that I think it would look so empty without it.

Not a very good shot, but there's the dresser!

I have a 34 week photo, but for some reason my phone won't let me email it! I've tried tons of times. I will try again later.
